4 CIF Chipset

Samsung’s 4CIF camera range provides a competitively priced alternative option to megapixel cameras for projects where very high quality images are required. Incorporating Samsung’s A1 DSP chipset, the 4CIF cameras are able to capitalise on WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology, which makes them ideal for locations where there may be strong contrasting lighting conditions.

Key Features: 

Super low light performance 

A true Day/Night function with infra-cut filter and a CCD image sensor equips 4CIF cameras to capture high quality colour images when lighting is as low as 0.001 Lux with Sens-up and monochrome images at 0.0001 LUX with Sens-up.

Progressive Scan

Progressive Scan optimises high quality video capture of moving objects, making it possible, for example, to read car number plates without a motion blur effect. 

Multiple streaming

Multiple streaming with a choice of MJPEG, MPEG-4 and bandwidth friendly H.264 compression methods provides the option to simultaneously transmit images to multiple locations at various frame rates at up to 25 frames per second, and at different resolutions. This allows different authorised users to monitor live images at one location, whilst recording video evidence at another. At the same time, images can be saved onto an on-board SD memory card and email notifications of any incidents sent to a smartphone.

H.264 compression

Ultra-efficient, high level H.264 compression specifically developed by Samsung makes the most of available bandwidth whilst also maximising the amount of video, which can be stored on a HDD.

Motion detection and anti-tamper

As well as standard motion detection, Samsung’s 4CIF cameras have a scene change-tampering feature, which creates an alert if, for example, paint is sprayed on a camera lens or there is unauthorised movement of a camera away from its usual field of view.

Polygonal privacy zones

Mask up to 12 individual privacy zones to ensure that windows, for example, in residential properties cannot be viewed.

PoE

Power over Ethernet functionality reduces installation costs by providing both power and video/audio transmissions via a single Ethernet cable.

SSDR (Samsung Super Dynamic Range)

SSDR automatically lightens the dark areas within a scene whilst maintaining the brighter areas at the same level. This ensures that the darker areas become more visible allowing the operator to ‘view’ objects in the shadows.
