Smart Codec
Samsung's Smart Codec allows users to select an area of a scene or facial capture to be transmitted at a higher resolution than other areas of a scene, putting the user firmly in control of bandwidth management.
3MP, Full HD resolution
Cameras support 3MP (2048 x 1536) resolution and Full HD display (1920 x 1080p), a 16 : 9 aspect ratio and real-time image capture. Viewers are able to monitor areas in real-time, without any delay from point of capture to display.
H.264 compression
Ultra-efficient, high level H.264 compression specifically developed by Samsung Techwin, allows high quality images to be carried at much reduced file sizes. This allows users to maximise available bandwidth and record for longer on the storage device.
Built-in SD card slot
A built-in SD card slot allows high resolution images to be recorded at the edge (locally on the camera). The images can be retrieved for evidence purposes at a later date, as well as immediately being transmitted to anywhere in the world.
Progressive scan
Progressive scan technology provides sharper edges on moving subjects and vehicles in order to enhance image quality. It is most noticeable on paused images, providing picture-perfect stills of, for example, number plates without any blurring.
Wide Dynamic Range (WDR)
In applications where there are strong contrasts between light and dark areas, such as shop entrances with glass entrance doors, Samsung's latest WDR technology adjusts both the bright areas and dark shadows much more effectively to provide a well balanced image across the entire scene.

Net-i viewing software
Samsung's licence-free NET-i viewer software allows remote viewing, control and administration of single or multiple site security systems via a PC anywhere in the world. What's more, with iPhone and Android applications, users are able to access their systems on the move.
SSNRIII (Samsung Super Noise Reduction III)
SSNRIII not only allows a colour image to be captured in much lower lighting conditions than traditionally possible, but it also eliminates image noise in low light conditions without creating blur or ghosting. This has a dramatic effect on reducing bandwidth requirements when networking and can save up to 70% recording space on the recording device.
Hybrid duel Ethernet and BNC outputs
All Samsung IP & network products feature dual BNC and Ethernet connectivity. This enables them to be deployed on an analogue cable infrastructure until such time as the user to ready to move fully to a networked infrastructure.
